Tuesday 30th April

Highlights from today: - Today we worked on the silent letter graphemes kn-  /n/ and -mb /m/. Ask me what words have these graphemes in them.  - In math we measured using iterating. Ask me to show you what iterating is!  - Ask me what we did in gym. - In science we learned about different landforms. It was fun talking about experiences different students have had visiting different types of landforms. Ask me to tell you what 5 landforms I currently know.

Highlights from today: - We did some sensory writing using a Pool Party picture prompt - We used non standard units to measure things in the classroom - Ask me what we did for gym - We talked about different Landforms in Science - Ask me what we did in music!  Highlights from today:

Highlights from today: - We went outside to read with the whole school. - We played a math game where we had to guess the number in the box using addition. Ask how it worked! - We did a lot of writing today: We wrote using sensory language and we also wrote thank you letters to MRs. Barrowcliff for setting up the Book Fair!

Reminders: - Literacy Night is tonight! See you there!               - Book Fair: 3:35-6:30               - Classroom Games: 4:30- 6:00               - Food Trucks: 4:40-7:30 Highlights from today: - It was stop drop and read day! - We practiced doing some writing with sensory language - We did a scavenger hunt to figure out the Literacy Week message. - We practiced using non- standard measurement to measure the length of our tables.

Reminders: See the blog post about literacy week. Thursday evening is Literacy Night at the school from 4:30- 6pm.                     - The book fair opens at 3:35pm and all the way through literacy night.                     - Food Trucks are open from 4:30- 7:30    Highlights from today: - We started talking about what non- standard and standard units of measurement are and then went around the classroom to look for different things we could use to measure.  - We made thank you cards for all the volunteers who came with us on our field trip. Thank you again! We appreciate you!  - Check out the book character costumes we wore today!
